Macoupin County Healthy Families Illinois Program Advisory Board is a volunteer community group that serves the Macoupin County Healthy Families Illinois Program. Macoupin County Healthy Families program is designed for women who are expecting their first baby. It is offered to a limited number of families within two weeks of the baby’s birth. Families can participate until the baby turns five years old. The program is provided in the home by a trained support specialist. The Healthy Families program provides activities and games that encourage a child’s growth and development, shares new information to support child rearing, helps parents build a baby book that records their child’s amazing talents, provides resources to support parents with raising a child, and completes questionnaires that screen and monitor a child’s development.
