THE STIGMA SCAR
When did we all start wearing masks,
Masks that cover who we authentically are?
What was the point where we started to feel unsafe in being ourselves,
How did we develop so many emotional scars?
We walk through life learning,
What is “socially acceptable” and what’s not.
When we hold our authentic selves in,
Our soul slowly begins to rot.
Deconstruction of self,
Just to not feel attacked.
I will not dim myself,
My resolve will never lack.
Acceptance and education,
Can truly be the key.
IF WE ALL TAKE THE TIME TO LEARN,
Then EVERYONE will see.
