She spent nine years as an ER nurse in a Level I trauma center in St. Louis, Missouri, where she developed strong critical?care skills and a calm, steady presence in high?pressure situations. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she has provided three years of primary care in rural communities, delivering comprehensive medical services to patients with limited access to healthcare. For the past 7.5 years, she has specialized in caring for individuals with substance use disorders, offering compassionate, evidence?based treatment and support. Her commitment to education and mentorship is reflected in her experience as a clinical instructor for nursing students at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). She also brings valuable correctional healthcare experience, having served as a Nurse Practitioner caring for inmates in prison settings, where she has provided essential medical services to an underserved population.
