Biography:
Kristin provides individual, couples, and family counseling at MCPHD's Oakland Avenue location to clients of all ages. Kristin has worked at MCPHD since 2020 after moving to the area from Chicago, and working prior to that in Cambodia. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from Goshen College in 2004. In 2008, she received her Masters of Arts from the Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice at University of Chicago. Kristin has more than 17 years of experience working in urban, rural, and cross-cultural community-based counseling settings with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Her passion includes helping people discover healthy coping skills that fit their daily life, creating a safe and non-judgmental space to talk about life stressors, tailoring therapy to best fit the specific needs and goals of each client, and engaging in social work advocacy to increase access to mental health care and resources for everyone.
