Biography:
Rosie began her dental career 42 years ago with 24 years of practice in dental
assisting, 18 years in dental hygiene, 15 years as a dental assistant/hygiene higher
education instructor, and 1 year as Program Director of Dental Assisting. She has
also served as the OSHA/Infection Control Coordinator for several places of
employment. She has been fortunate enough to gain extensive experience in almost
every aspect of the dental profession including general chairside dental assisting,
expanded functions dental assisting in restorative/oral surgery/denture procedures,
as well as serving 16 years part-time in orthodontics as an orthodontic dental
assistant.
Rosie has several years of dental lab experience working with denture fabrications, custom trays, mouthguards, bleaching trays, and model work, and she has worked in administrative front office work. She furthered her career as a dental hygienist performing dental hygiene duties and for the last 8 years she has worked in public health dental hygiene for the Macoupin County Public Health Department.
She has 16 years of experience teaching dental assisting and dental hygiene in community and allied health colleges as well as teaching trainees in the dental department at Macoupin County Public Health Department. She served one year as administrative program director in Missouri working with student/instructor retention/schedules, program inventory/budgeting, and managing/supervising/ maintaining the program. Rosie has had a lifelong commitment to the dental profession, but especially to her patients. She is passionate about serving the local communities while providing quality care to her patients and educating them in optimal oral health.
